Laini and the Wildfire- Friday, February 24th @ 8 pm

Live @ the Mac is excited continue the 2016-2017 season with Laini and The Wildfire.  Laini and the Wildfire is a piano fronted pop-rock band with a bluesy feel from New Haven, CT.  The band can be easily categorized alongside other pop-rock groups with a retro flare, such as Grace Potter and Lake Street Dive, though Laini is also heavily influenced by edgier artists, such as Fiona Apple.

Laini and the Wilfire is made up of Laini Marenick (vocals and keys), Mark Marenick (bass), Joe Rocco (guitar), and Rob Siraco (drums).  Essentially Pop says, "Laini’s voice is deep and soulful, lush and honeyed, gorgeous and compelling. Their five song self-titled EP gives a contemporary twist to the 60s soul that is so clearly its inspiration."  Don’t miss what is sure to be a great night of music!

Tickets for the Laini and The Wildfire Live @ the Mac show are $15.00 for MAC members and $20 for non-members.  $5 Tickets are available for high school students with a valid student ID.  The show takes place on Friday, February 24.  Doors open at 7:30PM and the show starts at 8PM.  Come and enjoy an intimate performance in a friendly environment.  Snacks, beer and wine will be available for a nominal charge.  The coffee is free.  For tickets, call (203) 878-6647.  Reservations are highly recommended, as Coffeehouse events sell out quickly.
