As part of MAC’s Family “Pillow” Series, this performance offers a cozy and welcoming concert experience. Kids are encouraged to bring a favorite stuffie, pillow, or blanket and sit close to the stage as the musicians and conductor fill our intimate space with timeless classics.
The concert is open to audiences of all ages, making it a perfect introduction to live orchestral music.

Soro Bindi with Iddi Saaka
Soro Bindi is an engaging, interactive performance that brings Ghanaian culture to life through traditional dance, music, and storytelling. Led by Ghanaian performer Iddi Saaka, the program guides audiences across West Africa with dynamic dances such as the Kpanlogo and the Bawa harvest dance, offering both cultural context and participatory learning.
Through live demonstration and hands-on exploration of traditional Ghanaian instruments, Soro Bindi invites students to experience rhythm, movement, and story as interconnected forms of expression. The performance fosters an appreciation for physical coordination, cultural balance, and global citizenship—encouraging audiences to connect with Ghanaian traditions through shared music, movement, and narrative.
More Biographical Information - Iddi Saaka
Iddi Saaka is an award-winning West African dance and music performance artist and educator specializing in traditional Ghanaian forms and contemporary dance. A native of Ghana, he holds a Diploma with distinction in Dance from the University of Ghana and an MFA in Dance from the University of California, Los Angeles. Saaka has performed and taught nationally and internationally at a wide range of distinguished venues, sharing Ghanaian culture through movement, music, and education.
