Student scholarship Winners

We continue our “Meet the MAC” series, where you get up close and personal with our patrons, artists, Board Members, volunteers, and the rest of our MAC family. Because up close and personal is what we’re all about! Today, we introduce several special people - MAC Ambassador & Teacher, Rachael Murphy and MAC Endowment Student Scholarship Winners for 2020.

Meet Rachael Murphy |

Rachael Murphy is proud to be a 27 year Milford Public Schools Art Educator and an ambassador for The MAC for the last 10 years. She has taught at both West Shore Middle School and Jonathan Law High School & has been an ambassador for both The MAC Endowment Board for 10 years and The MAC Board of Directors for two years.

Rachael became part of the MAC in order to advocate for all student artists, thespians and musicians of Milford. She explains, “The MAC has always been supportive of Milford's student thought leaders, creative problem solvers, innovators, and artists and is an incredible creative arts resource for Milford and the shoreline.”

As an advocate for student recognition in Milford, Rachael is beyond proud of all students - current and former - and she believes that they should be recognized by the Milford arts community with exhibit, performance and scholarship opportunities.

One such scholarship opportunity is provided by the Milford Arts Council Endowment Committee. This year, the committee presented scholarships to five worthy students who are currently enrolled in arts programs at reputable schools up and down the coast.
