Keeping the lights on is a phrase one always hears as to why one needs to join and become a member of a non-profit organization.
Is this really about paying the bills?
No, it is not. Not for us, anyway.
It is about keeping the lights on our mission: to provide audiences, students, and artists with opportunities and experiences in the arts that entertain, enrich, and enlighten:

You see, membership is not just about you. It’s about the person sitting next to you in the darkened theater. It’s about the person NOT sitting next to you because they couldn’t afford to be there. It’s about the artist performing up on the stage. It’s about the space in between you and everyone else. That space is where the magic happens. It’s where the light shines. . .
