A personal video introduction to Tatoo Tribe from the curator, Jim LoPresti.
Tatoo Tribe is the personal collection of artist Jim LoPresti's tattoo antiquities and photos of tattoo collectors honoring the motivation to adorn our bodies. From primitive to modern culture, this once sacred art form has been a part of the innate human desire to mark our bodies since the beginning of time.

Curator - Jim LoPresti
Jim LoPresti has been tattooing since 1996. He began tattooing in Bridgeport, Ct - his hometown! - and opened Lucky Soul Tattoo Studio in 2001. Jim has worked primarily in black and gray realism, perfecting his wash and shading techniques over the decades of experience.
Panel Discussion / Curator Q&A / Short Film
October 5, 6:30pm
A reception and gallery viewing followed by a short documentary film, and a panel discussion with tattoo artists & canvases: artists share why they tattoo, why they have tattoos, what their tattoos mean to them, their stories, journeys or healing. Q&A follows.
