Auditions for Eastbound Theatre’s Staged Reading “The Three Lives of Duncan MacRae”
Auditions are open for the upcoming staged reading of “The Three Lives of Duncan MacRae,” an original play written and directed by Richard Strompf of Hamden. Auditions will take place on Thursday, October 15 at 7 pm at the Margaret Egan Center, 35 Matthews Street, Milford, CT.
Performance of the free staged reading, part of Milford Arts Council/Eastbound Theatre’s “Plays in Development” (PID) series, will take place on Sunday, November 8 at 4 pm at the MAC, 40 Railroad Avenue in downtown Milford.
Synopsis of the script:
The play is a dramedy about life choices and possibility and the lives left behind. It focuses on Duncan, a professor at a prestigious institution in New York City. He is philosophical in his thinking (to a fault) and has a chronic problem making choices and decisions, especially important ones. Duncan has intimate relationships with three women in the play whom he genuinely loves. The women are at three different stages of their lives and each has reached a turning point that requires Duncan to make a potentially life-changing decision.
