Benny Benack Standing

Jazz Trumpeter / Vocalist Benny Benack

Dual Talents. Benny Benack is the rare talent who excels on trumpet and vocals. As a fiery trumpeter he ranges from Freddie Hubbard to Louis Armstrong.  As a singer he delivers sly, mature, naturally expressive post-Sinatra vocal stylings.

Touring.  Benny has been headlining clubs and festivals around the world with a never-ending intercontinental schedule that reflects his ardent love for the music. His smile and panache on full-display wherever his travels take him.

Closer to Home. Alongside his touring as a jazz/contemporary bandleader, Benny has appeared as a trumpet soloist in more commercial circles alongside Josh Groban, Ben Folds, fashion icon Isaac Mizrahi, Ann Hampton Callaway and more. He’s been featured at Birdland, Jazz @ Lincoln Center, The Blue Note, Bemelmans Bar at the Carlyle and other leading New York venues.

Popular Recordings. His latest album “Third Time’s the Charm” ascended to #2 on the JazzWeek International Radio Charts in 2023.  His second album “A Lot of Livin’ to Do” (2020) featured the likes of bassist Christian McBride and Veronica Swift

Critical Approval.  He appeared in two categories of Downbeat Magazine’s Critics Poll for 2023:Rising Star Male Vocalist (#2)  and Rising Star Trumpet (#15).
