Milford Arts Council presents

Milford Makes Small Collage Pop-up Workship

Join us at the Firehouse Gallery on March 7th.  We’re kicking things off with a light, easy, and free Small Collage Pop-up Workshop  – a chance to try something creative, calm, and fun.

All materials, including recycled and repurposed supplies, will be provided — just bring your curiosity and imagination.

Space is limited to 30 participants so please RSVP early.

This is a great opportunity to engage with the community and learn more about what Milford Makes hopes to build in the future.

Whether you’re new to collage or a longtime maker, come explore, experiment, and be part of our first step in bringing a makerspace experience to Milford!

As part of this first pop-up, we’re also beginning to collect fiber arts materials (yarn, fabric, thread, notions, etc.) for the future Milford Makes creative reuse center.

If you have clean, usable supplies you’re ready to pass along, feel free to bring them with you to donate.

About Milford Makes

A Creative Reuse Project for Milford, Connecticut

Milford Makes is building toward a permanent, community-centered space where donated materials are collected, shared, and transformed through hands-on creative experiences.  It’s a place rooted in access, reuse, and connection—where creativity is something you do, not something you have to earn.

In Phase 1, Milford Makes comes to life through pop-up programs and mobile creative experiences—small, intentional gatherings that allow us to collect materials, invite the community in, and learn what works before establishing a permanent home.

They’re simple, hands-on experiences designed to bring people together, spark creativity, and make making feel accessible—no experience required.
