Mermaid Art Contest
Walnut Beach Art & Business Association
Each February the Walnut Beach businesses hold an art contest. All are welcome to submit their best Mermaid for consideration.
The chosen mermaid will be displayed in full color as the cover art for the Annual Walnut Beach Event Calendar.
The “People’s Choice” winner will have their winning piece displayed within the calendar as well.

HOW TO ENTER THE ART CONTEST

Please submit a 2×3 ratio in portrait orientation MERMAID art piece to be considered for the front cover of the 2026 Walnut Beach Event Calendar.

All submissions can be dropped off at the Giggling Pig Art Studio at 44 Naugatuck Ave in Milford Mon-Fri 9:30-12 or Saturdays 9:30-11.

All submissions must be received by February 10th.

Please write your name and contact info on the back of artwork.
By submitting artwork you are agreeing to have your work used in the 2026 Walnut Beach Event Calendar and calendar related marketing. All artwork will be available for pickup after the contest.
ART CONTEST JUDGING & ARTIST RECEPTION
Our panel of impartial artist judges will choose a cover art piece on February 14th at the Milford Art’s Council Firehouse Gallery
