Laurel Beach Casino Orchestra
Laurel Beach Casino Orchestra is a 22-piece string ensemble featuring instrumentalists from the New Haven and Meriden Symphonies. Conducted and arranged by Christopher Blair—renowned Symphony and Opera Hall Acoustician and Conductor—the orchestra brings brilliance, depth, and energy to every performance.
Featured works include Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, and Barber’s iconic Adagio for Strings (famous for its use in the film Platoon). Presented in honor of the United States’ 250th Anniversary, the program offers a stirring journey through masterworks that continue to resonate with audiences worldwide.
