A Call for Artists – En Plein Aire Event

The Garden Club of New Haven is celebrating its Centennial in 2025. During the year many events will occur throughout New Haven.

On May 10, 2025 the Club is sponsoring a series of events on and around the New Haven Green to celebrate our 100 years. As part of this event we are hoping to have Connecticut artists on site to paint scenes of or around the Green. Other events occurring on this day are tours, a film, a flower show, floral design workshops, many community resource tables and food trucks.

• Who: Connecticut Painters in all medium: pastels, drawings, oils, digital art, prints, water, etchings etc….

• Exhibition: June 2025 at DaSilva Gallery, 897 Whalley Ave, Westville. 0pening reception, June 5th, 5:30-7:30.
  • Drop-off. All artwork must be ready to hang. Drop-off, Saturday, May 31st at DaSilva Gallery, 10:00am-4:00pm.

Exhibition & Opening Reception

Paintings/art work will be exhibited and offered for sale at the DaSilva Gallery in Westville.

The show will be curated by Gabe DaSilva, exhibited for the month of June with a reception on Thursday, June 5th. Twenty per cent of the sale will be donated to the Garden Club of New Haven, Fund for the Future, held at the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Eighty percent will be shared between the gallery and artists.

In the event you cannot attend on May 10, you are welcome to paint at anytime and bring your artwork to DaSilva Gallery on Saturday, May 31st between 10:00-4:00pm.
