Puppet Show – Three Little Pigs

This shadow puppet show is performed with a script as twisty as a pig’s tail.

The Three Little Pigs prove that with hard work, collaboration and compassion, they can do anything.

The puppet show program is approximately 45 minutes which includes an introduction, the puppet show itself and a backstage tour with photo opportunities for parents.

This is a Free Registration / Pay What You Can performance  intended for children ages 1-10 years old.   Use the button below to register your family.

Puppet Workshop

A wonderful craft to learn for the whole family! And a magical way to spend the cold winter months together. Put on your own show!

The workshop will be at most one hour depending on how many people participate.
Children are invited to try their completed puppet behind a shadow puppet practice screen.
Parents are invited to take pictures / videos of their children trying out their puppet behind the screen.

Workshop: $10/family registration fee (limited to 25-30 children, K-5)

Artist Bio – Kimberly Van Aelst

Kimberly has been performing her beloved children’s puppet shows for over a decade in libraries, schools, museums and at festivals throughout the tri-state area. She is also acclaimed for her adult puppet shows featured nation wide.

She received a Masters in Dramatic Arts in Puppetry from the University of Connecticut in 2018.

Her awards include the 2020 Connecticut Office of the Arts DECD Award, The 2020 New Haven Creative Sector Relief Award, a 2019 Kennedy Center VSA Award. She is a member of several Puppeteer boards and committees.
