Milford Student Exhibit 2027

The student show welcomes any K-12 student attending school, living or homeschooled in Milford.
There is no particular theme — any genre is welcome.
One submission per student.  

Milford Pediatrics
is the sponsor and awards judge for the show.

Location & Key Dates 

•  MAC Downtown Gallery — 40 Railroad Ave South, Milford, CT
• Pre-Reg Deadline: Friday, June 4, 2027, at Noon 
• Pre-Registration Deadline: Friday, June 4, 2027, at noon
• Deliver Work: Friday, June 4, 4–6pm and Saturday, June 5, 10am–12pm
• Gallery hours: June 10 – August 4, Tuesday–Friday, 12–4pm (check for Camp conflicts)
• Closing Reception & Awards: Thursday, August 5, 2027, 5:30–6:30pm
• Art pickup: Thursday, August 5, 2027, 6:30pm — immediately following the closing reception and awards

Entry Limits and Fees

• Each student may submit 1 work for consideration.
• Entry fee: $1 per student
• This exhibit does not have a MAC member discount tier.
• Submissions are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis up to the 100-piece exhibit cap.

Pre-Register to Save Your Space

• Pre-registrations are made through our Google form. 
• Click the link below to open the form.
• Enter the student’s name, grade, school (or homeschool), and a parent/guardian email address and mobile phone number.
• Double-check the email address — this is the only way we can reach the family about acceptance.
• Include a mobile number. We may call or text if we need to reach you quickly.
• Enter the Title of the work.
• Enter a short Description
• Read the Terms of Entry carefully before submitting.

Please check spelling of names, school, grade, title of work and description of work.
What is entered on the online form will be printed on the wall label exactly as entered.

Preparing Your Work for the Exhibit

A well-presented piece reflects well on the student and their school. Please bring work that is clean, dry, and properly prepared for display before intake.

Include a means to hang the art on the artwork itself –  hanging wire,  embedded sawtooth hangers or hooks.   Works without any means of hanging cannot be accepted for the show.  The MAC will not prepare your work for hanging. 

Labeling your work

• Permanently label the back of the work with the student’s name, school/grade, and parent/guardian contact information.
• Attach a temporary paper tag to the front so our curator can match the work to its wall label during installation.

Deliver Your Work for the Exhibit

Deliver your work to the MAC downtown gallery on…

Friday, June 4,  4–6pm, or
Saturday, June 5, 10am–12pm

Be prepared to pay the exhibit entrance fee of $1  (cash only please)

You don’t have to be pre-registered, you can register on the day you deliver the work — if there is space remaining.

General Terms of Entry

This is not a juried exhibit. Submission of a complete, eligible entry guarantees a place in the show, subject to the 100-piece exhibit cap.

The Milford Arts Council takes reasonable care of all works deposited in our galleries. However, works are accepted on the condition that the MAC and its staff are not liable for loss or damage to artwork while it is in our care or in transit. Families are encouraged to maintain their own insurance coverage for valuable pieces.

It is the submitting family’s responsibility to deliver work that meets the specifications in this prospectus — correct dimensions and, where applicable, wiring. The MAC reserves the right to decline work at intake that does not comply.

Artwork not collected at pickup on August 5, 2027, or within 30 days of that date, becomes the property of the Milford Arts Council.
