Our Judge  – Day Moore

Day is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, environmentalist, and entrepreneur who is deeply rooted in a lifelong connection to the ocean, which has fueled both her artistic practice and environmental advocacy since the age of 11.

Holding a BFA from Rhode Island College, her diverse career includes work in paint restoration for Sotheby’s, large-scale theatrical painting, small business consulting, and entrepreneurship.

Her art bridges fine art and activism—what she calls “artivism”—to raise awareness of environmental issues. Her latest work features top-down views of rivers, estuaries, and coastlines, painted in watercolor inks to emphasize water’s fragility and movement while omitting surrounding landscapes to center viewers’ attention on the water itself.

She is an active member of the Silvermine Guild of Artists, Connecticut Women Artists, and various collectives, and has collaborated with organizations such as the United Nations and the University for Peace in Costa Rica on initiatives supporting women, art, and sustainability.
