Expressions in Sculpture Exhibit

2026 Edition

Theme
For this exhibit artists can select sculpture pieces that highlight their unique style or have special meaning to them. There is no specific theme. The goal is to present a wide variety of sculpture styles and to introduce new artists to the community.

Medium
Any sculpture creation in clay, ceramic, stone, wood, metal, or mixed media.
Ceramics or pottery must be non-functional – no mugs or bowls etc. No 3D printed pieces.

Exhibition Details
This show is juried, and the organizer reserves the right to deny entry to any artwork that is deemed racist, sexist, hateful, or AI-generated etc. Please note – the number of entries may be limited to allow sufficient space in the gallery to safely display the exhibits.
This exhibit is presented by Don Izzo and the Milford Arts Council’s Artist-2-Artist group.

Selection Notification:  You will be notified by email at the address on your submission form. Selections will be chosen by July 24, 2026
Show Setup:   Thursday August 6th
Sculpture drop-off Thursday August 6, (12-4pm)
Sculpture pickup    Sunday August 9, (3-5pm)

Details and Terms of Entry

Fees
There is a $25 fee to participate in this exhibit — this fee will go towards renting the gallery space and insurance. The $25 fee allows artists to submit a maximum of three sculptures for consideration.
After acceptance you may pay using Venmo: @donald-izzo-1 or with cash at drop-off.

Sales
There is no commission fee on any work sold through this exhibit.

Sculpture Specifications
Sculptures cannot exceed width 24” x depth 24” x height 36”. Weight limit 20 pounds.
Contact the organizer to request a size or weight exception.

Eligibility
Sculptures must be original of the artist’s own concept and design.
Not eligible: classwork, reproductions, AI generated works, 3D printed pieces.

Labels
Include a label under each submitted piece, include title, artist, medium, and price, (Not for Sale or NFS is ok).

 

How will you display my sculpture?
Reasonable care and precautions are taken for the safe custody of sculptures deposited at the Firehouse Gallery. Sculptures can, however, only be received in the gallery on condition that the organizer is not liable for loss or damage while they are in the gallery. Delivery should be in person. Please contact the organizer for assistance, questions or special instructions.

It is the responsibility of the artist to deliver accepted work(s) according to the specifications of the prospectus (media type, dimension limits, etc.) and to ensure that their works are properly and safely displayed. The organizers reserve the right to request complying changes or to reject the work(s) on delivery.

Google Forms is used to capture the data for the entry form. Google requires that you sign in to your Google account for security purposes. This sign in is just to access the form. Once the form is open for entry, you will be asked to enter an email address. This email address is the one we will use to contact you about acceptance or any other details about the exhibit that might come up.

Section 1: Enter your contact information.

Your email address is critical. Use one that you monitor often. You may use an alternate email address (other than Gmail) as your contact address.

Section 2: Upload an image of your work.
Your photo file should be named in this format: LastName_FirstName_Title.
Note that photos are used for acceptance by the organizer.
File formats accepted: JPEG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC (Apple).

The Labeling of sculpture exhibits
Provide details about the work: Title, Medium, Size, and Price. Optional but very helpful to visitors and patrons, add a short artist statement about the sculpture.
